Behaviour & The Culture of Health

Figuring out how to build a culture of health has been life changing.  I am glad you are here to contribute to this vision growing from a whisper in my heart to real experiences within our Zimbabwean community. Just by reading this post, you a health culture carrier!!

We are building a culture of health together. We are talking about health on and offline. The posts are being shared on different social media groups, people are talking about the blog and are showing such interest in chiropractic, exercise and nutrition, its super exciting!!

There is a lot going on and I feel it is important to reign it in and be specific on how I envision our cultural behavior. Inspired by a sermon on culture carriers by Pastor Rich Wilkerson, Founder of Vous church in America, “Being specific is so important, nothing just happens!! You have to get specific about exactly what you want to see. I coached people about how I wanted them to behave in a service, insane I know, but nothing just happens, you have to specify and clarify what you want to see”

Being specific about how we behave in this culture is fundamental to our growth. Here are a few characteristics our behavior should reflect as we engage in our community/ culture of health.

  • We are already bought in to health!! This is not a foreign concept but who we are!
  • We are unapologetic about our health! And our pursuit of the knowledge of health!
  • We are community based!!
  • We are engaged!!
  • We are excited to be entrusted with the stewardship of our bodies and lives!!
  • We encourage and are encouraged by those within our culture with smiles, high fives and verbal affirmation……!!

Everything in our culture of health is intentional from the way we think to the way be behave.
